CHOCOLATE CAKE

Hello people!! How are you? We hope so well!

Today, we are going to show you how to do a cake for a special day, like a birthday, an important dinner or any special moment!! It is so beautiful and, of course, DELICIOUS!!

The recipe of today is... CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH MALTESERS!





The most difficult step is to decorate the cake, but also is funny! Okey, the ingredients that we need are:

For the Chocolate cake:
- 340 gr. butter
- 75 gr. cocoa
- 170 ml. hot
- 140 gr. sour cream (I used crème fraîche instead)
- 385 gr. flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 450 gr. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract


And the steps for the chocolate cake are:
1.Preheat oven to 175 ° and two molds greased 23cm round.

2.Mix the cocoa in hot water until it has dissolved, then mix it with sour cream and leave to cool. In a separate bowl sift flour with baking soda and salt, and set aside.

3.Then beat on medium speed the butter and sugar together until light and creamy. Add eggs one by one, beating well after each addition. Add the vanilla.

4.Add the flour alternately with the cocoa twice, beginning and ending with flour.

5.When thoroughly mixed, pour the mixture into the two molds and smoothed the top with a spatula.

6.Bake about 50 minutes, until when pierced with a toothpick comes out clean.

7.Let cool on a wire rack 15 minutes. After this time the unmold and let cool completely on rack. Then, with a knife, leveled before refilling.





Truffle filling:

- 500 gr. whipping cream
- 200 gr. black chocolate (56% cocoa)
- 50 gr. sugar
The steps for the Truffle filling are:
1.Put the cream in a saucepan over medium heat with the sugar. When it begins to warm, add the chocolate pieces and stir until completely melted.


2.When the mixture is smooth, remove from the fire, changed to a large bowl and let cool.

3.Refrigerate at least 12 hours in the fridge.

4.After this time, we can mount the truffle with the rods until we see that increases in volume and has a creamy texture but consistent.


 

The final steps are:
1.Fill the cakes that had previously leveled with a generous layer of truffle.

2.Then cover the top and sides of cake truffles and smoothed over the surface with a spatula.

3.We started to cover the entire surface of the cake with Maltesers (700gr).




And we have our cake and maltesers chocolate ready to enjoy.
